Editing Cards

During a Study or Review Session

1. While a card is on screen, click the Inspect / Edit button below the card.
2. This opens the Inspect page with the Notes tab selected. The card you came from will already have its note selected for review and editing.
3. Once done editing, you can either: click the Study Card or Review Card (depending on where you came from) or you can just hit the browser back button to resume your session.

From the Inspect Page

1. Open a deck and click Inspect (or the ⋯ menu → Inspect Cards).
2. Click the Notes tab.
3. Click any note row to expand it — the fields are displayed read-only.
4. Click Edit Note to open the inline editor.
5. Update the fields and click Save Note. Changes take effect immediately.

What Can Be Edited

Every field the notetype defines can be edited — text, HTML, and images. For Basic notes that is Front and Back; for Cloze it is the Text field; for imported third-party decks it is whatever custom fields the notetype includes.

Editing a note updates all cards generated from it. For example, a Cloze note with three cloze deletions produces three cards — fixing a typo in the Text field corrects all three at once.
